Flu Season Home Remedy

Ingredients
  

  • 6 cups • distilled water
  • 1 • whole lemon
  • 2-3 tablespoons • fresh ginger root slice up into medium pieces
  • 5-6 cloves • crushed garlic crush with flat end of knife – no need to cut up
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon • cayenne pepper to taste
  • • Honey amount to taste

Notes

  1. Add water in a medium saucepan.
  2. Add juiced lemon and entire lemon rind, ginger root and crushed garlic cloves.
  3. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer (medium heat). Allow it to cook for about 15 minutes. The liquid will become darker in color and fragrant.
  4. Add cayenne pepper.
  5. Strain and discard off contents keeping liquid.
  6. Add honey to taste to each individual serving.
