Magnesium-Rich Cocktail
A study out of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill points to a connection between magnesium in the diet and lowered risk of diabetes.
Ingredients
- 4-5 beet tops
- 2 Swiss chard leaves
- 2 collard leaves
- 1 cucumber, peeled if not organic
- 1/2 Cup blueberries, thawed if frozen
- 1/2 lemon, peeled if not organic
Instructions
- Cut produce to fit your juicer’s feed tube.
- Turn off the machine when adding the blueberries.
- Put the plunger in place, then turn the machine on and juice, followed by the lemon.
- Stir.
- Pour into a glass and drink as soon as possible.
